The Bulkley Valley Tool Library was inspired to host a festival celebrating reducing, reusing, repurposing and repairing after seeing a similar event in Revelstoke. A subcommittee of our board members began brainstorming activities that would highlight the unique skills and creativity of our northern town, Smithers B.C. We reached out to other groups and individuals to see if they would like to be involved. With generous support from Wetzin’kwa Community Forest and the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako, the vision quickly came to life.
The idea was embraced with enthusiasm and has been gaining momentum with each new involvement. Below are some of the organizations and businesses who helped make this event possible. We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many additional individuals and volunteers who have put a significant amount of work into planning and may not be reflected below. This festival is truly a community effort!
